For all of you trying to get your TV game up - Bea Arthur was known for her role as Maude. Maude was the cousin of Edith Bunker and had a house keeper who was Florida Evans. How's that for a jump-off. Good Times from Maude, the Jefferson's and Maude from All in the Family.
Can you believe that Bea Arthur was into her 50's when she played Maude. There was a super controversial episode when she got pregnant at age 47 in the first season. She pulled a Murphy brown, which is crazy for the early 70's.
